Budget Control
Cost Control
Every year I create two budgets. One for our German company and one for our European company.
Indirect costs are a pain point in the company so budgets are scrutinised very carefully and perhaps several revolutions may be necessary before the parent in Japan agrees a settlement.

Keeping on track
Monthly Control
To ensure that costs continue to remain on track, I create a monthly expense plan so I can track how much is being spent against how much is planned. This allows me to correct any issue before it grows too large.
Around 1.000 invoices processed every year
Invoices checked, coded and processed
All invoices received are checked against the original offer. If they match they are added to the marketing budget expense file.
To ensure they can be followed if there is any query later, the invoices are given a sequential code and additional coding to indicate to the book keeping which company and which budget area to apply to cost.
