Product management
Managing the Products for the highest ROI
Knowing which type of product to produce and which sizes to develop for the best return is just one aspect of managing the product which I was involved with. I was also responsible for managing the technical data of each product, translating the item master from Japan into usable data for the web and for technical catalogues.
Data from Japan was incomplete so I had to establish the permitted fitments locally. This was necessary to inform clients but also to populate an online tire approval system which is a legal requirement in Germany when tires are changed from manufacturer fitments.

Creating fitment lists for new product launches
When a new product is launched, know what it fits is crucial. I have created size lists which include the cars they fit and this has been something that as new size get introduced has been communicated to the sales team to ensure the strongest possible arguments are made for selling the new product
Using data to show new opportunities
The changing market for tires means new cars are coming out on ever larger tires. To show this visually, tables are made showing how how one product overlaps an older offering to inform the clients.
Today, data is king and I love data.
I am a big believer in data driven decision making. I use all the sources at my disposal to ensure the most robust process and informed choices.
