Creating strategy is a core skill. I have had to create strategies based on the business plan which also respect global policies from the parent and brand owner.
These strategies have had to be robust enough to stand up to scrutiny and to be evaluated against at the end of the year.

Strategy is not just listing tactics and plans. It has to consider the big picture from the start .
Having competing aims from the senior management of the company, the parent company and the operatives within the business, requires a carefully thought out strategy which can be fully justified.
I begin by creating a framework in which the marketing strategy is positioned so that everyone shares the same clear vision.
I have also created multi year strategies where a road map was developed with milestones along the way to be measured against.
